The sauna room at Mr. Tobias’s private residence was designed as a relaxing indoor space that stays visually connected to the natural surroundings outside. A key feature of this project is the large glass panel, which opens the room to the outdoor view and enhances the atmosphere of the sauna experience.
The interior design focuses on simplicity, warmth, and practical comfort, with proportions carefully arranged to create a space that feels both functional and open through natural light and surrounding scenery.
The result is a home sauna that offers more than everyday use. It creates a calm and restorative experience, bringing comfort and nature together in one refined space.
The Challenge
Introducing a large glass panel into a sauna room — to frame the outdoor view — required balancing heat retention with visual openness. The design had to feel spacious and nature-connected without undermining the thermal performance that makes a sauna effective.
The Result
An indoor home sauna with a full glass panel framing the outdoor scenery — delivering a calm, nature-immersed experience that makes every session feel connected to the surroundings, and proving that a private sauna can be as much about atmosphere as it is about function.
