Shin Onsen & Spa Bangkok was designed as a large-scale wellness space where the onsen experience takes center stage. The spa pools were created to feel luxurious, modern, and spatially distinctive, giving the project a strong sense of identity from the moment guests enter.
A key highlight of this project is the use of nano bubble onsen pools, which help create a softer, finer, and more relaxing soaking experience. At the same time, the form of the pools and the surrounding materials were carefully designed to work together, allowing the onsen area to become more than just a functional feature. It becomes the defining character of the entire space.
Alongside the onsen area, sauna rooms were also installed as part of the project, completing the overall wellness atmosphere and creating a more immersive environment for rest and recovery.
The Challenge
Designing a large-scale onsen venue where the pools themselves carry the entire visual identity of the space — not just as functional tubs but as architectural features that define atmosphere from the moment guests walk in. Integrating nano bubble technology added another layer of system complexity that had to remain invisible to the guest experience.

A large-scale nano bubble onsen venue with sauna integration, where the pool design anchors the identity of the entire space — delivering a technologically elevated, visually luxurious wellness environment that stands out in Bangkok’s competitive spa market.
