This cold plunge pool was designed as part of the hydrotherapy system at Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy under Bangkok Glass Group, supporting the recovery needs of both professional and youth football players.
The design focused on practical use within a sports training environment, including the pool size, ease of access, structural durability, and the ability to support continuous use within the training center. This makes it well suited for post-training and post-match recovery.
Beyond functionality, the project was also designed with simplicity, ease of maintenance, and long-term reliability in mind, making it suitable for a specialized facility that requires both performance and durability.
The Challenge
Designing for a professional sports facility meant meeting a much higher bar for durability, access, and continuous daily use than a standard wellness context. The pool needed to handle repeated heavy use by athletes — including post-match recovery sessions — while remaining simple to maintain within a high-performance training environment.
The Result
A purpose-built cold plunge integrated into the academy’s hydrotherapy recovery system, supporting professional and youth football players with a solution built for high-frequency, long-term athletic use — reliable, accessible, and low-maintenance by design.
